About Our Ingredients
We only use natural or naturally derived ingredients in out product. Where others may use items that are derived from petroleum such as mineral oil, propylene glycol or petroleum jelly to keep cost down we will never use these items for any reason. Explanations of our ingredients are listed below.
Sweet Almond Oil - Pressed from almond seeds. Has nutritional value for all skin types containing glycosides, vitamins, minerals and protein. Is easily absorbed by the skin.
Castor Oil - Pressed from the seeds of the castor plant. Thick oil that provides a protective barrier on the skin. Composed of ricinoleic acid.
Coconut Oil - Expressed from coconut kernels. Is highly saturated in saturated fats. Easily absorbed into the skin.
Evening Primrose Oil (Oenothers bennis) - Pressed from the seeds of the evening primrose. This oil is high in gamma linoliec acid (promotes skin rejuvenation), vitamins and minerals. It helps to repair damaged and aging skin as well as promote softer and smoother skin.
Grapeseed Oil (Vitas vinifera) - Pressed from the seeds of wine grapes. Contains vitamins, proteins, minerals and polyunsaturates. Does not cause allergic reaction and is light an odorless.
Hazelnut Oil (Corylus avellana) - Extracted from hazelnuts. It contains vitamins, minerals and essentials fatty acids. It is a light oil that penetrates the skin easily great for acne prone and dry skin.
Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis) - Pressed from the nuts of the jojoba tree. It contains protein and minerals as well as a wax substance that mimics collagen. Jojoba resembles sebum (the body's naturally produced oil) as it protects and suppleness to the skin.
Mango Butter (Mangifere Indica) - Pressed form the seed kernel of the mango fruit. It is a moisturizer that adds lubricity to the skin.
Olive Oil (Olea europaea) - Pressed from the fruit of the olive tree. Contains vitamins, proteins and minerals. Olive oil softens and moisturizes the skin and penetrates easily.
Rose Hip Seed Oil (rosa masqueta) - Extracted from the ripened rose hip. Contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, gamma linoliec acid and vitamin C. Rose hip oil makes the skin feel softer and smoother while reducing the skins tendency to age.
Shea Butter - (Butyrospwemum parkii) - Comes from the nut of the karite tree grown only in Africa. Contains vitamin A, vitamen E and sterolins. It melts at skin temperature and has a superior moisturizing tendencies.
Beeswax (Apis mellifera) - From the honeycomb of virgin bees. Used as an emulsifier and thickener.
Aloe Vera Juice (Aloe barbadensis juice) - Expressed form the aloe vera plant. Provides hydration to all skin types. Contains enzymes, minerals, amino acids, carbohydrates and water.
Dead Sea Salts - salt from the dead sea. Has a high concentration of minerals. Used to exfoliate the skin and soften water. Helps to promote detoxification of the body.
Glycerin - Derived from vegetable oils. It draws moisture from the air and into the skin. Also makes the skin softer and smother.
Menthol Crystals (Mentha arvensis) - Can be used as an anesthetic. Gives a cooling feeling to the skin.
Cetearyl Alcohol/glycerol stearrate, sodium stearoyl lactylate - a naturally derived emulsifying wax. Emulsifiers join oil and water into a stable mixture.
Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom Salts) - A water softener used as a soak for minor muscle aches and sprains.
Phenoxy Ethanol – a very mild preservative otherwise known as ‘rose ether.’ This alternative to parabens is the preservative choice among European and Asian countries.
Decyl glucoside – a mile surfactant & skin cleanser derived from glucose.
Cocoamido Betaine – a mild skin cleanser derived from coconut oil.
Xanthan Gum – natural plant gum resin used as a thickener.
